北宋时期,西北边疆民族问题复杂,矛盾突出,为解决西北边疆地区的民族矛盾,北宋时期神宗曾派王韶对西北地区进行了治理,这对招抚吐蕃诸部,开发和稳固我国西北边防,促进我国西北地区各民族的团结与融合、社会安定和经济文化的发展,以及畅通丝绸之路,加强各民族团结起都起到了不可估量的作用。

The problem of the Northwest Frontier ethnic was complexity in the Northern Song Dynasty.To resolve the contradiction between the northwest border areas,the development of the Northwest business became the main theme of the issue to resolve the northwest frontier.Developing business by Wang Shao played an invaluable role to the Tibetan tribes,to the development and stability of China's northwest frontier,to the promotion of national unity and integration in the Northwest region,to the social stability and economic and cultural development,as well as to smooth Silk Road and to strengthen the national unity.
