吴蔼宸先生选辑的《历代西域诗钞》作为西域历代诗歌的选编专著,就全书编纂而言,取得了巨大的成就:所选辑诗歌从汉至清,时间跨度长;所选辑诗歌数量众多,内容丰富;所选辑诗歌大都标明出处来历,查有所据。但是也存在明显的不足:全书编纂体例不严密,失误颇多;辑选诗人及其诗作眼界狭隘,忽视本土诗歌创作;辑选比例失调,收罗未尽,多有遗漏。

As a treatise,the Selected Successive Dynasties,Poem Works of the West RegionsEdited by Wu-Aichen gains many achievements in its compiling aspects.The edited poems have a long time from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.The selected poems have abundant contents.The origins of the poems are obvious so as to be consulted.However it has many flaws in itself as follows.The stylistic rules and layout appears no tightness with many flaws.The horizon is limited when Mr.Wu selected poets and their poems with ignoring their native county,poems.The inappropriate ratio causes the loss of contents.
